On the 3rd of September, the Greco Advisors team will be taking on a 50km charity hike along the Thames Path in support of Leukaemia UK, our chosen charity for the year.
The challenge will see the team come together during Blood Cancer Awareness Month to raise vital funds for Leukaemia UK’s work across research, awareness and advocacy - supporting better diagnosis, kinder treatments and improved outcomes for those affected by leukaemia and other blood cancers.
Leukaemia can affect anyone, at any age. It reaches children, parents, grandparents, friends, colleagues and families across the UK every year. While significant progress has been made in how blood cancers are diagnosed and treated, survival rates are still not where they should be, and quality of life remains a major challenge for many people living with leukaemia.
That is why continued investment in research matters so much.

Leukaemia UK funds pioneering work to better understand the disease, develop more effective and less toxic treatments, improve standards of care and ensure more patients have access to the therapies and support they need. The charity also plays an important role in raising awareness of symptoms and advocating for earlier diagnosis - both of which can make a life-changing difference.
For Greco, this challenge is a chance to do something practical, positive and collective in support of that work.
On 3 September, we will walk 50km along the Thames Path. It will be a physically demanding day, but one we are proud to take on together. The aim is simple: to raise as much awareness and funding as possible for a cause that needs continued support.
As Lucy Carr, Greco’s charity lead, explains: “Leukaemia UK is doing incredibly important work to improve outcomes for people affected by blood cancer. As a team, we wanted to take on a challenge that felt meaningful, demanding and collective while helping to raise funds and awareness for a charity making a real difference.”
Every donation, however small, will help support Leukaemia UK’s work - from funding scientific research and early-career researchers, to improving diagnosis, treatment and care for patients and their families.
We would be hugely grateful for any support, whether through a donation, sharing the fundraising page, or simply helping to spread the word. You can support the Greco Advisors team here:
