Exploring Innovation and AI in Private Equity

AI took centre stage at Greco Advisors second Techfast event, where leading tech operating partners shared real-world applications and challenges of AI in PE. Read the key takeaways.

In July, we were proud to host the second installment of our ‘techfast’ series - a breakfast gathering designed to bring together some of the leading technology operating partners in Private Equity. Set in an informal and welcoming environment, the event offered a chance to connect over coffee and conversation, while diving into some of the most pressing topics shaping the industry today.

This edition welcomed representatives from a range of top-tier firms including ECI, Vitruvian Partners, Providence Equity Partners, Montagu, Synova, Triton Partners, Limerston Capital, EQT Group, The Carlyle Group and BC Partners. It proved to be a dynamic forum for sharing lived experience, exchanging ideas and comparing notes on opportunities and challenges faced across different portfolios and investment strategies.

Unsurprisingly, artificial intelligence (AI) dominated much of the discussion - not just as a buzzword, but in the form of tangible, real-world applications. Attendees shared how AI is being successfully harnessed at both fund and portfolio level to unlock efficiencies, improve performance, and create measurable value. At the same time, conversation touched on the inevitable complexities around implementation - from data infrastructure and change management to the cultural shift required for adoption at scale.

The session reaffirmed the importance of collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the industry. Greco remains committed to creating space for these kinds of open, honest conversations - where peers can explore how others are navigating similar challenges and opportunities in a constantly evolving landscape.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us for this latest techfast and look forward to hosting more in the months ahead.
